I have been a quadriplegic since October 2nd of 1998. I have been an assistant high school baseball, basketball and soccer since the spring of 1999. Just because my legs and fingers may not work doesn’t mean that life stops. When I do motivational speeches for people, my main message is “Don’t Take Anything For Granted.” In my small town, I’m the only person paralyzed and other than some of the elderly, I’m the only one in a wheelchair. When they started the Syracuse Spinal Association,I was excited to connect with others that have to deal with similar problems that I have to face. It’s great to bounce ideas off others or get new ideas on ways to try different things.
