These funds can assist with a wide range of needs, including adaptive equipment, medical expenses, home modifications, and rehabilitation services.

Dedicated to providing financial support to those connected with the construction trades industry (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, roofing etc.) who are living with life altering injuries. Assistance provided is designed to pay for the provision of material (i.e. Durable medical equipment, etc.)

Kelly Brush Foundation

Individual Grant Program awards grants to individuals with paralysis due to a spinal cord injury (SCI). The purpose of the individual grant program is to increase participation in adaptive sports and recreation activities and improve the quality of life for individuals living with SCI.

Kennedy Krieger Institute

Hosts a monthly virtual group for people with paralysis and their families and caregivers, held on the first Tuesday of each month.

National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR)

NIDILRR’s mission is to generate new knowledge and to promote its effective use to improve the abilities of individuals with disabilities to perform activities of their choice in the community, and to expand society’s capacity to provide full opportunities and accommodations for its citizens with disabilities.

New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH)

A nonprofit organization focused on enhancing the quality of life for individuals with spinal cord injuries (SCI) and their families. SSA provides advocacy, resources, peer mentorship, and financial assistance through Quality of Life Grants. They partner with Upstate Medical University to provide support to newly injured patients
