Volunteering With SSA
Please reach out if you would like to volunteer with the Syracuse Spinal Assocation!
Current Volunteer Opportunties:
- Fundraising Committee – We’re deciding on our 2025 exciting fundraiser to fund the SSA Quality of Life Grants
- Looking to add to our Board of Directors a lawyer or an accountant or any professionals that are motivated to help SCI individuals and families
Past Volunteer Opportunities:
- Serving as a fundraising team member
- Gathering raffles and silent auction items
- Attending a fundraiser and helping out for a few hours
- Joining us for a BBQ and grilling or helping
- Guest speak art one of our Tuesday discussion groups and share whatever gifts you have with our members
- Picking up and delivering donated durable medical equipment
- Transporting a members wheelchair to Numotion and returned the wheelchair to her the same day

Enhances Lives
SSA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for all people living with spinal cord injuries (SCI). SSA also provides crucial support and information to the loved ones of those living with SCI. Your tax deductible gift will help improve the lives of disabled and paralyzed individuals living throughout Central New York.
Life in a chair isn’t always easy, but I promise that you can get stronger to handle so much of what you’re facing. Keep up the fight!
